At My Little Treehouse , we intend to provide the best early childhood education programs with an emphasis on play-based learning, in order to foster happy, healthy, active kids.
The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) Program: Aims to extend and enrich children’s learning from birth to five years and through the transition to school. The EYLF has a specific emphasis on play-based learning and recognizes the importance of communication and language (numeracy and literacy) and social and emotional development.
Kindergarten Program: Aims to foster a love of learning so that children become ‘active learners’. An ‘active learner’ is a child who is:
- Competent, capable and creative
- Secure, connected and respectful
- Happy, playful and curious
- Confident, motivated and involved
- A questioner, problem-poser and problem-solver
- Empowered to express ideas and make choices about their learning.
At My Little Treehouse, orientation is an important aspect of your child beginning care with us. We will be encouraging our new families to visit the centre upon completion in late 2017, allowing the educators and your child to get to know each other and start bonding. Once the bond is formed, your child has trust in his/her new carers and separation will be easier.
At My Little Treehouse, we will have a wonderful ‘transition room’ designed for children who are finding it difficult to separate from their families. This will allow your child to feel comfortable and bond with their educator/carer without disrupting the class and drawing attention to themselves. Carers will be able to sit with their child and educator in a safe and inviting environment participating in activities until they feel comfortable to leave.
